**It’s Official: Centennial Bike Park Gets Green Light from Carson City Supervisors

After eight years of grassroots effort, collaboration, and community support, the Carson City Board of Supervisors has unanimously approved the JohnD Winters Centennial Park Master Plan — including designated space for the long-anticipated community mountain bike park at upper Centennial.

This marks a major milestone for the Carson City Bike Park (CCBP) initiative. The approval gives us the go-ahead to move forward with fundraising, refining the design, and working closely with Carson City Parks, Recreation & Open Space (CCPROS) to formalize agreements for construction and management.

As noted during the meeting, this isn’t the end of the process — it’s the beginning of the next phase. With a master plan now in place, we’re one step closer to building a progressive, high-desert mountain bike facility that serves all levels of riders and becomes a true asset for the community.

Thank you to everyone who has supported this project. Let’s keep the momentum rolling.

Stay tuned — there’s much more to come!
